A Vision of the Lord
I see the garmet to your feet.
I see the gold band, girded about your chest.
Your the one I chanced to meet.
I knew you'd put my soul to rest.
His head and hair were white like wool.
As pure and white, like virgin snow.
His spiritual being has so much pull.
With him I will surely go.
His eyes were like flames of fire.
His feet, like brass refined in a furnace.
I'll be with him when I retire.
Until then my soul will be in ernest.
His voice when he spoke, like the sounds of many waters.
He had in his hand, seven golden lampstands and stars.
We are one in him, sons and daughters.
Heaven for believers, isn't very far.
Out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword.
His countenence was like the sun shining in all its strength.
Out of his mouth he spoke his word.
Life with him determines no length.
I saw the garment to your feet.
I saw the gold band girded about your chest.
You're the one I chanced to meet.
I knew you'd put my soul to rest.
