Having Eyes To See
The story is told of the great sculptor who saw a stone in the quarry
that had been rejected by the stone masons as being worthless.
This great man purchased the stone.
Those who brought it to his work site commented to him,
"What could you want with this piece of stone? It's worthless for anything!"
But this talented artist saw what they could not.
His reply was, "There's an angel trapped in it that I must set free."
Months passed by and one day the men who had brought the stone to the master sculptor noticed a beautiful white-winged angel that seemed to live before their eyes.
They came to the master and asked him how he was able to fashion
that lovely work of art from the ugly, worthless stone.
His reply was simply, "I just cut away everything that wasn't angel!
And when I finished, all that was left was angel."
So must we as God's ministers,
teachers, and disciples cut away all that isn't truth ~
and when we finish, all that will remain will be truth!
